In 2019, Proef Eurico Ferreira Mozambique started a new chapter in its partnership with Vodacom Mozambique by sealing a new contract for the implementation of fiber networks over an 800 to 1200 km length in the city of Beira, Sofala province. The works began last July and are expected to be completed in February 2020.
After the terrible events of March 2019, in the aftermath of cyclone Idai, Beira City gets back on its feet by constructing and reinforcing telecommunications infrastructures to put Mozambique on a path of economic and social development.
This project is part of the growth plan for fiber optic network outlined by Vodacom Mozambique, in a context of reinforcing the Mozambican community's quality of life through the provision of superior communication services.
In the Mozambican market since 2011, Proef has been developing and implementing integrated and innovative solutions, mainly in the area of mobile networks. With projects previously developed for Vodacom, Proef, with this project, thus extends its partnership to the area of fiber optic networks, where has a vast portfolio of projects in both Africa and Europe.
