Proef Group had the approval for another application to H2020, this time under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, which falls within the "Excellent Science", one of the three pillars of Horizon 2020.
This Actions support formation and the career progress related to research, in particular, with innovative solutions that can prove having the capacity to convert knowledge into ideas and products that promote the social and economic development.
Our application named SECRET - "Secure Network Coding for Reduced Energy Next Generation Mobile Small Cells”, results from the collaboration of 5 European countries and 8 partners, being composed by Universities, Research Centres, SME’s and industries – Proef and Huawei Sweden.
The SECRET project intends to upgrade the current concept of smart cell in the future 5G technology, allowing end-users to take the role of hotspot acting like "small mobile cells" capable of providing high speed wireless network with low-cost and reduced energy consumption. This way, the SECRET project potentiate emerging technologies such as Smart Cities and the Internet of Things (IoT).
Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions also finances the international and intersectoral mobility, consequently, an investigator from a foreign country will integrate the Proef Group's innovation team for a 3-year period.
